History
In VBK’s first Premier Division season 1960/61 the team played two home matches at the GIF’s sports. Here in Castle Bronze IF the seasonal closure. Milestones
1945: Vetlanda Bandyklubb play their first game, the team meets Flugeby gone 1/1-45, and the match ends 4-4.
1946: Did the club for the first time in an official league. And the team has already succeeded in the first attempt to win the series, districts series Vetlanda Tour corresponding div. III. However, there was no promotion to div. II. The first historical striker in the league was Stig Tjernberg who made 1-0 in the club’s first series match VBK stole a 4-1 away against Forserum.
1947: Playing VBK his first game boy. Flugeby prevailed over the entire VBK 15-5.
1949: After the first few years out of the mill pond sjöis, could Vetlanda the 23/1-49 inaugurate Country Bandybanan.
1950: Was reserve team for the first time the series winner, the team won the Cup series. As team leader seemed Bernth “Glasis” Gustavsson.
1950/51: Playing the club for the first time in div. II. However, it became respass directly, VBK finished in last place.
1953/54: VBK participating for the first time in the league for the boys team.
1955/56: Many times it has been harsh times for the club and during the season 1955/56 was increased up to votes to close the business. But fortunately, it was decided to take the new tag and go on.
1957/58 – 1959/60: The great march to bandy top. 1957/58 season the club lost div. IV, the next year div. III and the 1959/60 season the club lost div. II and advancing for the first time to the headlines.
1960/61: The team ending in last place in the Premier Division season premiere. When the team meets Nässjö IF it is still current audience record at home since 5362 saw the NIF win 2-1 on Country Bandybanan.
1964: Björn Göransson becomes the club’s first A-internationals, when he is in Sweden’s team against Norway.
1968: Jan “banana” Carlsson is VBK’s first world champion when Sweden lost the JVM.
1969: VBK wins first Senior-DM.
1975: Per Lennartsson are both world champions and top scorer in history when the first Boys’ Championship is played.
1976: The art frozen bandybanan Tjustkulle inaugurated on 21/11-76.
1977: VBK arranges for the first time SAPA-cup. The team finished second for Dynamo Moscow.
1978/79: Between 1960/61-1969/70 VBK played on four occasions in the headlines and at all times and drove the team out. 1978/79 season hangs VBK for the first time left in the headlines in his fifth attempt, but the season after the team goes out of headlines.
1981: VBK qualifiers to win headlines.
1983: VBK goes first to the SM finals. Sirius will be too difficult in the quarterfinals.

1985: VBK takes both their first Premier Division title series and their first SAPA Cup title.
1986: In its fourth SM-finals reach VBK his first national finals, Boltic defeated 2-1 and VBK win their first national championships. Patrik “Putte ‘Johansson is the Year One and Year Leader Lars Forssell.
1987: Stefan Karlsson, Kenth Hultqvist, Kent Edlund, Per Lennartsson and Patrik Johansson becomes world champion in World Championships in Sweden.
1988: VBK lose SM-finals with 2-5 against Boltic.
VBK takes his first title in the World Cup.
1989: In its third national finals losing VBK against Västerås 3-7.
1991: VBK win his second national championships. Västerås is defeated in the finals with 4-2 and Per Lennartsson makes VBK’s all finalmål. Jonas Claesson becomes Net Man and Curt Einarsson year’s leader.
VBK win the European Cup which will be determined on Tjustkulle.
1992: VBK win their third national championships, after final win against Boltic with 4-3. Jonas Claesson will be the Year Male and Ulf Bernström year’s leader.
1993: Pontus Sundelius, Patrick Sandell, Patrik Johansson (Selangor) and Jonas Claesson become world champion.
VBK win their second World Cup title.
1994: Västerås wins national finals 5-2 over VBK.
1995: VBK wins first national championships in the youth context, then Sirius is defeated by 7-3 in the finals of the Boys-MP.
Pontus Sundelius, Gert Johansson, Patrick Sandell and Jonas Claesson become world champion when the World Championships in Minneapolis, USA.
1996: VBK’s defending gold in the Boys-MP.
1997: VBK wins for the first time, JSM-gold. A team is playing its 15th MP-finals of the suite, which was then the longest playoff suite in Swedish bandy history (Västerås, Sweden now has a longer suite).

1998: VBK’s long suite of 15 SM-finals in a row is broken.
The club lost for the third time in the Boys’ gold-MP.
1999: After 18 seasons in a row going VBK from headlines.
For the fifth consecutive year, it will gain in a youth MP then VBK wins Junior MP.
2000: There is only one year in Division 1, VBK win both the primary and playoff series and going up in the headlines.
VBK shows again that the club is a Sweden-best in the youth side by winning the double national championships. There will be a gold in the Junior Boys’ and SM-SM.
2001: In the Premier Division comeback VBK qualify for premier league, team success is not getting to SM-finals.
